So Man City have probably won the Premier League and there aren’t many teams who will be able to stop the inevitable from happening.
This weekend it’s Chelsea’s turn to try to stop Pep’s City and they’ll desperately want to bounce back from their disappointing collapse in the 2-1 defeat to Man United last week – but can they do it and come away with three points?

Man City win. Chelsea just haven’t been themselves since the turn of 2018 and although they’re arguably the Premier League’s best-equipped side to suck up pressure at the Etihad before hitting City on the counter-attack, I think Pep Guardiola’s side will just be too much for them as they were in the reverse at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea’s glimmer of hope rests in City’s more hectic schedule, facing Arsenal on Thursday night, but if Kevin De Bruyne or David Silva turn up City will likely be at their irresistible best once again.

Right now it’s impossible to see past Pep Guardiola’s outfit in any match and, Liverpool blip aside, they’ve brushed off the challenge of every top six side so far this season, including Chelsea.
With their season hitting the buffers, there’s a fragility to Antonio Conte’s side that makes you question their ability to withstand the pressure that the home side will put them under and even after an intense week of action against Arsenal, I expect this to be another step on the road to City’s coronation.

No matter who their opponent is right now – especially at home – you expect City to win.
While playing Arsenal in the League Cup final and the Premier League in the space of four days may leave them a little tired for the visit of Antonio Conte’s men on Sunday, you still expect them to have the strength in depth in their squad and the quality to see the stuttering Blues – who have struggled on the road in the Premier League of late – off.
